The Chief Scout’s Appeal:
A Chance to Belong
How you can make a difference today
Too many young people grow up in families facing real challenges. The struggles are everywhere: rising cost of living, limited access to safe places to play, and opportunities to find happiness and self worth.
Add the pressure to succeed, the impact of social media, and a growing sense of loneliness and isolation – and it’s no wonder so many young people feel overwhelmed and anxious.
But together we can help change things for the better.
Scouts offers something powerful: a chance to belong. A place where young people can be themselves and find themselves. Where they can build confidence, learn new skills, and develop the resilience to pick themselves up and bounce back when things get tough.
Since becoming Chief Scout in September last year, I’ve had the privilege of meeting young people from all communities. I’ve seen volunteers generously giving their time to lead sessions, run camps giving young people the chance to learn, lead, make friends, and try new things.
Scouts is a charity that helps close the opportunity gap and right now, we need your help to do more.
I want every young person to have access to the opportunities I was given as a child.
Because every young person deserves a chance to belong.
Thank you,
